STEM can be used to show that there are Nutritional Benefits of eating Certified Irish Angus Beef.

Transition Year students at the Green will present their review of scientific research into the nutritional benefits of eating Angus and red meat. They will be focusing on the benefits in particular to different categories of Athletes as well as senior citizens and pregnant women.

Our Award Winning Angus Project will also present something of the Maths behind the rearing of our calves to date. The calves Live Weight Gains and the costs of rearing them to date. This is where STEM means Business.

Winners of primary and secondary schools mascot, calf naming and cowparents competition announced.

Programme:
10 – 11 Viewing of projects, stands and mascots.
11 – 11.30 Prize giving to primary student who won mascot competition.
11.30 – 12 blessing of calves by Fr Kieran
12.00 – 1.00 Certified Irish Angus burgers for all supplied by Tesco

TY Students from schools that entered the Angus Competiyion in 2016 and any 3rd students from all schools that are interested in entering next year’s  competition are especially  welcome.
