MTU North Campus, Tralee (Kerry Sports Academy)

This event is targeted at 8 to 12 year olds in two groups of 10 persons. Each event is 45 minutes.

The event provides an introduction to the inside of a computer. We’ll be tearing down old computers and building a new laptop!
Learn about the parts that make up a computer, what each part does and how they fit together to make useful machine.

Safety remains out highest priority at MTU and we wish to inform guests who are planning to attend the onsite events at MTU as part of Kerry Science Week that guidelines in place for indoor events following the publication of public health measures that came into place on Friday, 22 October, will apply to all activities. We will continue to monitor the situation and align to the latest guidance from Government.

  • We will require the production of EY Digital COVID Certificate for all attendees over the age of 16. This includes accompanying parents and guardians.
  • All visitors to the campus over the age of 12 years are required to wear masks.
  • Visitors over the age of 18 will be required to provide contact tracing details. Contact name and telephone number are required and will be securely retained for 28 days and will be compliant with GDPR.
  • All on-campus events/workshops require advance registration and only those in possession of a valid ticket will be permitted to attend

To protect ourselves and others, we ask that all visitors adhere to all the public health behaviours that keep us and our loved ones safe – these include hand hygiene, physical distancing, and face coverings when moving through indoor spaces.
