CBS The GreenRoaches Mills manufacture animal feeds. 5th,
6th Agricultural Science students will be treated to a presentation on the STEM in the production of animal feed.
Paddy Mc Carthy (Nutritionist) at Roaches Mills will take the students through the science of ration formulation including the selection of ingredients, the technology and engineering employed in the preparation and production of rations as well as the different feeding systems available. He will also demonstrate the maths behind ration calculations which are essential to the business of producing cost effective feed rations.
